Spring is a great time to de-clutter basements, garages and attics and welcome in the season. Residents of the historic Forest Hill neighborhood that spans Cleveland Heights and parts of East Cleveland are truly taking this challenge to heart by hosting the area’s largest community garage sale. On Saturday, May 27, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., many of our neighbors will be selling their wares at their individual homes.
Dubbed the “Forest Hill Monster Garage Sale”, 2016 marks the sixth year for this annual event. Response from the community has been tremendous. “Last year, we boasted 60+ homes and had a great turnout,” notes Valda Lewis, Forest Hill resident and one of the Monster Sale’s organizer. “I’m excited to see our continued efforts come to fruition again this spring.”
Forest Hill homes are within walking distance throughout the beautiful neighborhood that used to be the site of John D. Rockefeller’s summer estate.
Patrons should look for garage sale signage and balloons on each tree lawn. Street parking is available. Come for the sale, take in the beauty of our community.
